Can be paired with vanilla custard, chocolate coating or jam of your choice.
Ingredients
3 cup refined flour
2 tbsp dry active yeast
2 no eggs
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp milk powder
Water if required
Pinch Salt
Oil for frying
3 tbsp Powdered sugar + for dusting
Cinnamon powder for dusting
Vanilla custard for stuffing
Preparation
In a large bowl add yeast, honey and milk, mix together well and let it sit for 15 mins until it activates.
Add eggs and mix well.
Sieve in refined flour, salt and sugar.
Knead everything together in a soft dough. (add water if required)
Keep it aside covered under a damp cloth, let it rise.
After the dough has risen 3 times in size, dust some flour on the table top and transfer the dough on the table top and knock it down.
Roll it in a 2 cm thickness roti and cut with the desired round cutter.
Place carefully on a greased tray. Let it rise again till it doubles in size.
Heat oil over medium heat and fry the donut until it's nice and golden brown.
Toss them in a mix of sugar and cinnamon sugar and fill with vanilla custard.
