Apple Crumble

A quick treat which takes a few minutes to create memories.

Ready in 30 minutes

Serves 2 people

Tips

Crumble can be stored in the freezer for upto 1 weeks.

Fruits can vary according to season or preferences.

Sugar can be replaced with erythritol (sugar substitute), or can also be completely avoided.

Ingredients


  • 1½ tbsp mixed roasted dried fruits

  • ½ cup maida

  • 1tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1tbsp cold butter

  • 1pinch salt

  • 250gms chopped apples

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 pinch cinnamon

  • 2tbsp soaked raisins

Preparation

  1. Melt butter in a pan, add chopped apples, raisins and cinnamon, cook together on low heat for 15/20mins until cooked 75% through.

  2. In a large mixing bowl mix together flour, cold butter, dried fruits and salt until well combined. (it should look like sand)

  3. In a casserole layer the apple mixture and top with the crumble.

  4. Bake in a preheated oven @ 180c for 15/20 mins until the crust looks nice and gold (baking time varies from oven to oven)
