A Bao is a steamed Chinese bread. traditionally stuffed a variety of stuffing and fillings.
It's the fluffiest and super soft bun either stuffed like a dumpling or it a flat folded shape where the filling is visible.

Tips
Buns can be stored in the freezer for upto 2 weeks.
To reheat: Place frozen buns in a plate at equal distance and microwave with a cup filled with water for 30 seconds.
It can also be re-streamed for 1 min.
Can be served with filling of your choice.
Ingredients
1½ tbsp dry yeast
2½ cup maida
1tbsp sugar
½ cup milk
1tsp salt
1 egg
water if needed
Preparation
Activate yeast in 2tbsp water and sugar (takes about 15mins)
Add the rest of the ingredients and knead into a soft dough and rest in a warm place covered with a damp cloth.
Once double and light knock down and shape in desired shape fold by applying oil in the fold.
Proof again until double and steam for 5 to 8 mins until cooked
